Alpine region Pyhrn-Priel
When it comes to tourism, Hinterstoder is at the centre of the sport and leisure region of Pyhrn-Priel and lies very close to the Kalkalpen National Park – a protected area of forest with hidden gorges, wild mountain streams and delightful Alpine meadows.
The authentic and atmospheric mountain village in the south of Upper Austria is surrounded by the imposing mountains of the Totes Gebirge group and is internationally famous as a World Cup skiing destination. The region around Hinterstoder and Windischgarsten is delightful with its natural hospitality, modern infrastructure, many interesting museums and events, as well as a whole host of leisure opportunities throughout the year.
Guaranteed snow from December to April, no fog, lots of sunny days and, last but not least, good accessibility make the Stodertal valley a real hot tip for nature and sports enthusiasts.
